I
have an itch to create and I'm always looking for new ways to scratch
that itch. I'm an artist; a designer, a cartoonist, an illustrator, a
silk screener and occasionally, I even paint.
But then again, I'm also a writer. I've done screen plays that I've turned into no-budget movies,
written short stories in various genres and am working on a novel.
Except for the movies, (I will not subject you to those here) I hope to give you a pretty
good tour in these pages of what goes on in my head when no one is looking.
There are lots of galleries to stroll through and sights, both sublime and goofy, to enjoy.
These days, I mostly work digitally. Working in Photoshop has given me a
freedom to create that I never would have thought possible. Don't
call me a digital artist though, rather I am an artist who works in digital media.
Anyway, poke around the various pages and see what you see. I am for hire at reasonable rates
and always up for a new challenge. I can be contacted at lauragive@comcast.net
Speaking of poking, check out these little beauties.
Pokecon card set (Gotta catch them all)
I
did these for Denver's MileHiCon 40. My job was to take the guests of
honor and turn them into Pokemon characters. Actual cards were made up
and given to the authors and artists portrayed to give out as they saw
fit. These are not typical of the style I work in which made the
assignment all the more FUN!
